Riding lessons

At Gauksmýri you can to get riding lessons or you can be taught how to train a horse. Participants learn basics as well as special details about horses and riding. Moreover, we offer to improve your horse’s behaviour by training. People can come to Gauksmýri either to get just a single riding lesson or to stay here for some days to get new experiences in a more intensive way.
We have horses which suit people with every grade of experience and even different individual taste. Of course, you can bring your own horse with you. If you are planning to do so, we recommend to send the horse some weeks or even months in advance to Gauksmýri. Thus, we get the possiblity to optimate the training and its results. After this period, the owner can ride his horse and he will be tought how to handle it best. We have found that this procedure is most profitable for horses and riders.
